Terms & Conditions
Last updated: June 9, 2026
These terms govern your use of the Service Scale website and, if you become a client, our services. By using the site or signing up, you agree to them. We've kept the legalese to the minimum the subject allows.
Our services
Service Scale provides lead generation systems for home service businesses, including website design and hosting, review management automation, missed-call text back, marketing campaigns, and local SEO services. The specifics of what's included are described on our Services and Pricing pages.
Billing and cancellation
- Our core service is billed monthly at the rate listed on our Pricing page at the time you sign up.
- There is no long-term contract. Your subscription is month to month, and you may cancel at any time with no cancellation fee.
- When you cancel, billing stops at the end of your current billing period and you lose access to the systems we operate for you: the website we host, automations, inbox, and campaigns.
- Optional add-on services are scoped and priced separately and agreed to in writing before any work begins.
What we need from you
Our systems work when you do good work and use them. To deliver our services, we need you to provide accurate business information, respond to onboarding requests in a reasonable time, and maintain any accounts the services rely on (such as your Google Business Profile). You're responsible for the accuracy of the content and information you give us to publish.
No guaranteed results
We'll be straight with you here, like everywhere else: marketing outcomes depend on your market, competition, seasonality, the quality of your work, and your use of the system. We do not guarantee specific rankings, lead volumes, review counts, or revenue. Anyone who does is lying to you.
Intellectual property
Content you provide to us (your logo, photos, business information) remains yours. The systems, software, templates, and processes we use to deliver the services remain ours. While you're a client, you have a license to use what we build for you as part of the service. Your domain name is yours, and you keep it regardless of whether we work together.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use our website or services for anything unlawful, deceptive, or harmful, including sending spam through systems we operate, misrepresenting your business, or attempting to interfere with the operation of our systems. We may suspend or terminate service for violations.
Communications
If you submit our contact form or become a client, you agree that we may contact you by email, phone, or text about your inquiry or your service. We don't do marketing drip campaigns to people who just asked a question.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The website and services are provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated in these terms, and our total liability for any claim arising from the services is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or the services will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction. Before either of us lawyers up, we agree to try to resolve any dispute informally first. Email us and we'll talk like adults.
Termination
You can stop using the site at any time and cancel service as described above. We may suspend or end service for non-payment or violation of these terms, with notice where practical.
Changes to these terms
If we update these terms, we'll change the date at the top of this page and, for material changes affecting active clients, notify you directly. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
